Coaching helps to create a more open organisation, one that values people, it is a quick and effective method of developing members of staff. CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools

The CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is an introduction to stls level 3the roles and responsibilities of teaching assistants. The qualification will provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children in school environments. This is a knowledge based qualification suitable for:

  • Learners who may not yet be employed within a school
  • All support staff roles in schools, including school administrator, receptionist, IT support worker learner, learning support assistant, teaching assistant, caretaker, lunch time assistant,
  • Those who work directly with children and young people
  • Learners who require initial training or an induction to a new role
As the qualification is knowledge based a school placement is not required to successfully complete the course. To obtain the qualification learners will need to achieve 12 credits from the 4 units below:
  • Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults
  • Schools as organisations
  • Understand child and young person development
  • Understand how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
